Pierre PARtnership Award Finalists Announced: Recognizing Association Business Innovation

Towson, MD, November 29, 2022 – The Professionals for Association Revenue (PAR) has announced the 2022 Finalists of the Pierre PARtnership Award recognizing business forward association programs, events, and staff experiences that align mission and business. Finalists will discuss their work and the award will be presented during the RevUP Summit, December 7-8, in Annapolis, Maryland.

The 2022 Pierre PARtnership Award Finalists include:

Heart Rhythm Society (HRS): In product and program innovation, association leadership prioritizes board and team awareness of profit potential. HRS approaches innovation with establishing a shared understanding of business language focused on margins and incorporating feedback from member and industry stakeholders. This approach can be used as a catalyst to launch new ideas with potential margin impact. HRS CEO Patricia Blake, when asked about association business today shared, “Industry stakeholders and member expectations are evolving, an intentional approach to association revenue to support programming and mission is critically important both today and tomorrow.”

Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and IDWeek: IDSA adapted industry partner feedback while creating supporting educational inventory at IDWeek. The resulting impact created a leap in revenue while offering members and attendees access to more than double the number of industry sponsored educational opportunities, ultimately improving member value and evolving market options for the future defense against infectious diseases. Associate Director, Dana Johnston added, “Our industry partner voice has value. Their feedback was important to building new opportunities that balanced their experience with industry education, provided member resources and ultimately, association revenue.”

Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS): When the January Oncology Site Solutions Summit was impacted by COVID interruption, SCRS used a date change to introduce an entirely new conference program in just three months, the Diversity Site Solutions Summit, serving needs across both member and industry audiences on a critically important topic for the future of healthcare, inclusion of diverse patient populations. Marcus Maleck, Director of Global Business Partnerships at SCRS provided, “We had a challenge, make lemonade out of lemons. Because of our remarkable member and partner profile, we were able to identify an opportunity that served all audiences and brought association businesses together on a mission critical topic.”

The Pierre PARtnership award honors Christine Pierre’s legacy of association mission and business alignment, during a career that included association board presidency, volunteering, speaking, exhibiting and entrepreneurship.

Date and Location: The Pierre PARtnership Award will be presented at the PAR RevUP Summit held on December 7-8, 2022 at the Graduate Hotel in Historic Annapolis, Maryland.
