Alexis Redmond, JD, MA, CAE, is the senior director for the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (National NSSLHA) at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). There, she supports over 10,000 student members and 340+ chapters at colleges and universities nationwide. Alexis brings a unique blend of operations and membership acumen. She taps into key member insights sparking both engagement and revenue opportunities. She actively partners with volunteers to create programs and spotlights them as champions and ambassadors for their efforts. Alexis thinks outside the box to deliver member value and increase member engagement. These efforts not only elevate ASHA and NSSLHA's missions but also showcase her excellence in her profession.
She has been recognized as an ASAE 2020-2022 Diversity Executive Leadership Program scholar, a 2019 ASAE NextGen Scholar, a 2019 Associations Forum Forty Under 40 honoree, and a 2022 Association TRENDS Young and Aspiring Professional.
Alexis has been instrumental in driving non-dues revenue and enhancing member value at ASHA and now NSSLHA. Serving as a driving force behind award-winning projects like the ASHA Marketing Solutions website redesign and the ASHA Career Portal. These accomplishments elevate ASHA's mission and showcase her excellence in her profession. Alexis is deeply committed to community service outside her professional life, serving on the Family Services Committee with Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland.
